Seat Position Sensor: Installation

  1. PRECAUTION 
    CAUTION: Read PRECAUTION  thoroughly before servicing .
  2. INSTALL SEAT POSITION SENSOR 
    1. Check that the ignition switch is turned to OFF.
    2. Check that the negative (-) battery terminal is disconnected.
      CAUTION: After disconnecting the negative battery terminal, wait for at least 90 seconds before starting the operation.
    3. Install the seat position sensor with the bolt.

      Torque: 3.9 N*m (40 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf)

    4. Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the seat position sensor.
    5. Connect the connector to the seat position sensor.
  3. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH  (See INSTALLATION )
  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Torque: 3.9 N*m (40 kgf*cm, 35 in.*lbf) 

  5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform INITIALIZATION .

      HINT:

      Some systems need initialization when disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal.

  6. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Inspect the SRS warning light (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM  ).
