Headlight Assembly: Installation

HINT:

• Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
• The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. INSTALL LIGHT CONTROL ECU 
   1. Attach the claw and install the light control ECU.

   2. Install the 4 screws with the cover.

   3. Install the headlight protector with the screw.
2. INSTALL FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT BULB 
   1. Install the front side marker light bulb to the front side marker light socket.

3. INSTALL FRONT SIDE MARKER LIGHT BULB SOCKET 
   1. Turn the front side marker light bulb socket and the front side marker light bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow and install them as a unit.

4. INSTALL CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB SOCKET 
   1. Turn the clearance light bulb socket and the clearance light bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow and install them as a unit.
5. INSTALL CLEARANCE LIGHT BULB 
   1. Install the clearance light bulb to the clearance light socket.

6. INSTALL FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB SOCKET 
   1. Turn the front turn signal light bulb socket and the front turn signal light bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow and install them as a unit.
7. INSTALL FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB 
   1. Install the front turn signal light bulb to the front turn signal light socket.

8. INSTALL NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB 
   1. Install the bulb into the light, and turn it in the direction indicated by the arrow.

9. INSTALL HIGH-INTENSITY DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB 
   1. Turn the back cover in the direction indicated by the arrow and install it.

10. INSTALL NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BACK COVER 
    1. Turn the headlight back cover No. 1 in the direction indicated by the arrow and install it.

11. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT 
    1. Install the bumper side support with the 3 screws.

12. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Attach the claw and install the headlight with the 3 bolts.

       Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

    2. w/ Headlight Cleaner: Connect the hose.

    3. Connect the connector as shown in the illustration.

13. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  (See INSTALLATION )
14. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
15. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH  (See INSTALLATION )
16. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH  (See INSTALLATION )
17. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER  (See INSTALLATION )
18. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  (See INSTALLATION )
19. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
20. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (see INITIALIZATION (2006/02-2006/07) ).
       NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
21. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 
22. VEHICLE PREPARATION FOR HEADLIGHT AIM ADJUSTMENT (See  ADJUSTMENT   ) 
23. HEADLIGHT AIMING ADJUSTMENT (LOW BEAM) (See  ADJUSTMENT   ) 
24. HEADLIGHT AIMING ADJUSTMENT (HIGH BEAM) (See  ADJUSTMENT   )
