Piston Rings

Ensure piston ring end gap and side clearance are within specification. See PISTONS, PINS & RINGS table under ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS. Position piston ring gaps in proper areas, with identification mark on piston ring toward top of piston. See Fig 1.
NOTE:
Top ring is marked with "T" or 1R identification mark. Second ring is marked with 2T or 2R identification mark.
