Indicator Light Circuit
Verify indicator light operation. See INDICATOR LIGHT under COMPONENT TESTS. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect ECU connector. See Fig 1. Check for continuity between ground and ECU connector "B" terminal No. 12 (Violet wire). If continuity is not present, repair open in indicator light circuit harness or connectors. If continuity is present, check ECU. See PIN VOLTAGE TESTS . If found to be defective, replace ECU and retest system.
