Idle Speed Control (ISC) Valve
A stepper motor type ISC valve is used, which controls the idle RPM at a target speed based on signals from the ECU by adjusting the volume of air by-passing the throttle valve. When the engine is cold, the ISC valve is opened wider in relation to coolant temperature and engine speed, resulting in faster idle.
