Motor Circuit

  1. Disconnect washer motor connector. Check wiring harness continuity. With washer switch pressed on (press button in end of wiper/washer stalk), check continuity between known good ground and terminal No. 1. See Figure. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  2. With ignition on, check voltage between known good ground and terminal No. 2. If battery voltage is present, washer motor circuit is okay. If battery voltage is not present, check wiring harness, wiper switch or power source.
    NOTE: DO NOT test washer motor for more than 20 seconds as washer motor may burn out.
