General Information: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2025 Kia Soul. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Protect the vehicle's protective painted surfaces and internal parts with work covers (seat covers) or tape (if damaged by tools) to prevent damage.
NOTE: Before closing the engine hood, check the engine room for any tools or parts left.
  2. At the same time as checking the defective part, determine the cause of the failure, determine whether it is necessary to remove or disassemble, and then work in the order of the repair information.

In order to prevent mis-assembly and to facilitate assembly work, punch marks or coincidence marks are applied to areas that do not adversely affect the function or appearance. When disassembling parts with a large number of parts and similar parts, arrange them so as not to be confused during assembly.

    1. Arrange the removed parts in order.
    2. Distinguish between replacement parts and reusable parts.
    3. When replacing bolts and nuts, be sure to use designated standard products.
