Repair Procedures: Removal

Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
Remove the drive belt.
(Refer to " Removal ")
Remove the vacuum pump.
(Refer to " Removal ")
Disconnect the alternator connector (A).

Remove the B terminal (A) from the alternator after removing the mounting nut.
Tightening torque:

9.8 - 11.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb.ft)

Separate the alternator wiring (A) from the alternator after removing the clip.

Remove the front wheel guard.
(Refer to " Replacement ")
Remove the alternator lower mounting bolt (A).
Tightening torque:

49.0 - 63.7 N.m (5.0 - 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2 - 47.0 lb.ft)

Remove the alternator after removing the alternator upper mounting bolt (A).
Tightening torque:

49.0 - 63.7 N.m (5.0 - 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2 - 47.0 lb.ft)
