Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Release the residual pressure in fuel line.

    (Refer to the Fuel Delivery System - "RELEASE RESIDUAL PRESSURE IN FUEL LINE ")

  2. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  3. Remove the rear seat cushion.

    (Refer to Body - "REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY ")

  4. Remove the fuel pump service cover (A).

  5. Disconnect the fuel pump control module connector (A).
  6. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor connector (B).
  7. Disconnect the fuel feed tube quick-connector (C).

  8. Remove the fuel pump plate cover (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.
  9. Remove the fuel pump from the fuel tank.

    Fuel pump plate cover mounting bolt: 

    2.0 - 2.9 N.m (0.2 - 0.3 kgf.m, 1.4 - 2.2 lb.ft)
