DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

DTC DETECTING CONDITION

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy Case 1
  • Compares the time elapsed recorded by the Low Power Counter (LPC) against that recorded by the test timer
  1. PCM
  2. Poor battery condition
  3. Connecting condition
Case 2
  • Checks for abnormal resets of the LPC
Enable Conditions Case 1
  • Engine running longer than 10 sec.
  • Battery voltage greater than 8V
Case 2
  • No memory failure occurred
Threshold Value Case 1
  • The difference between the counter of the LPC and the calibration of the test timer greater than 20 sec.
Case 2
  • The LPC is reset to zero abnormally
Diagnosis Time

MIL On Condition
  • 2 Driving Cycles
