VCM Learning

IG "ON" and select 'Vehicle S/W Management' menu in GDS. (Fig 1)
After checking the condition, perform 'VCM Learning'. (Fig 2 - Fig 4)

YES

Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

NO

Go to "Check VCM actuator" procedure below.

Check VCM actuator
1. IG "ON" and select 'Actuation Test' menu in GDS.
2. Execute 'VCM type vis 1'.
3. Confirm the change of VCM position sensor data and the sound of operation.
  Specification: Refer to SIGNAL WAVEFORM & DATA

4. Is everything OK?
  YES
  - Check for poor connection between PCM and component: backed out terminal, improper mating, broken locks or poor terminal to wire connection. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
  NO
  
  Disassemble VCMA and Intake Manifold and check stuck by carbon or foreign object.
  
  Check the component for contamination, deterioration, or damage. Substitute with a known-good component and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace the component and then go to VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
  
  NOTE: In case of replacing VCM related component, perform VCM Learning (refer to VCM Learning procedure above.
