Test SP-8A, Testing Cruise Control Resume Switch
- Put cruise control ON/OFF switch in the ON position. Place DRB-II in voltmeter mode. Hold down RESUME button and probe terminal No. 3 (White/Light Green wire) at cruise control switch connector. See Figure . If voltage is less than 10 volts, replace cruise control switch. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SP-VER .
- If voltage is 10 volts or more, turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect Single Board Engine Controller (SBEC) connector. Inspect connector. If connector is not okay, repair connector as necessary. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SP-VER . If connector is okay, go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Hold down RESUME button and probe terminal No. 50 (White/Light Green wire) at SBEC connector. If voltage is 10 volts or more, replace SBEC. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SP-VER . If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open White/Light Green wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST SP-VER .
