TOD Indicator Light
A 2-function indicator lamp is located on instrument panel. The AUTO portion of light provides information on drive mode, a valve check, ABS IN status and BRAKE ON status. CHECK position of light provides information on a valve check, failure alarm, trouble codes and diesel/gasoline manifold absolute pressure. Transfer lever position signals are transmitted to indicator as follows:
When transfer lever is shifted and signals from axle switch do not comply with signal conditions of 4H and 4L switch, signals generated by 4H and 4L switch are repeatedly flashed at .8 second intervals. When transfer lever is set to specified position and axle switch signals are in synch, normal light status is returned. When starter is engaged, indicator will come on for 2 seconds as a bulb check and then go out. Seven modes functions can be illuminated by TOD indicator. See Fig 1 .
