Integrated Control Unit

  1. Disable air bag system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Remove driver's side kick panel. Disconnect integrated control unit 16-pin connector. Remove integrated control unit from underdash fuse/relay box.
  2. Inspect connector terminals for damage or corrosion. Repair as necessary and retest system. If connector and terminals are okay, use a DVOM to perform intermittent wiper system input test as indicated. See Fig 1 . If an input test indicates a problem, find cause, correct problem and retest system. If all input test results are okay, replace faulty integrated control unit.
