Test C-6: Valve Relay Inspection

  1. Remove valve relay. Using fused jumper wires, apply battery voltage and ground to valve relay terminals No. 2 and 3. See Fig 2. Using DVOM, ensure continuity is present between motor relay te rminals No. 1 and 5. Continuity should not be present between valve relay terminals No. 1 and 4.
  2. Remove jumper wires. Ensure continuity is not present between valve relay terminals No. 1 and 5. Continuity should now be present between valve relay terminals No. 1 and 4. Replace valve relay if continuity is not as specified.
