Steering Lock: Removal

  1. Before proceeding, disable SRS. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  . Remove steering column covers. Remove steering column flange bolts and lower steering column.
  2. Disconnect ignition switch. Center punch 2 shear bolts and carefully drill heads off lock shear bolts. Remove bolts and steering lock assembly.
