Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY TELEVISION CAMERA)

    1. Disconnect the K7 navigation receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the X1 camera connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY TELEVISION CAMERA) RESISTANCE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K7-22 (V+) - X1-1 (CV+) Always Below 1 Ω
      K7-23 (V-) - X1-2 (CV-) Always Below 1 Ω
      K7-21 (CGND) - X1-4 (CGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      K7-24 (CA+) - X1-3 (CB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      K7-22 (V+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K7-23 (V-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K7-21 (CGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K7-24 (CA+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

    1. Disconnect the X1 camera connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      X1-3 (CB+) - X1-4 (CGND) Ignition switch ON, shift lever R position 5.5 to 7.05 V

      Result 

      NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY RESULT CHART

      Result Proceed to
      OK A
      NG (for Column Shift Type) B
      NG (for Floor Shift Type) C

    B: REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY  (See NAVIGATION RECEIVER (FOR COLUMN SHIFT TYPE) )

    C: REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY  (See NAVIGATION RECEIVER (FOR FLOOR SHIFT TYPE) )

    A: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY

    1. Reconnect the X1 camera connector.
    2. Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform.

      Waveform (Reference) 

      OSCILLOSCOPE WAVEFORM REFERENCE

      Item Content
      Tester Connection X1-1 (CV+) - X1-2 (CV-)
      Tool Setting 0.2 V/DIV., 0.2 μsec./DIV.
      Condition Ignition switch ON, shift lever R position

      OK: Correct waveform is as shown. 

      Result

      NG A
      OK (for Column Shift Type) m
      OK (for Floor Shift Type) C

    B: REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY  (See NAVIGATION RECEIVER (FOR COLUMN SHIFT TYPE) )

    C: REPLACE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY  (See NAVIGATION RECEIVER (FOR FLOOR SHIFT TYPE) )

    A: REPLACE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY  (see REMOVAL  )
