Diagnostic Procedure 2: ASCD Main Switch Check
- Check ASCD Main Switch Power Supply
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect ASCD main switch harness connector. Turn ignition on. Using a DVOM, measure voltage between ASCD main switch harness connector terminals No. 1 (Orange/Blue wire) and No. 4 (Black wire). If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, check for the following and repair as necessary:
- Faulty fuse No. 12 (7.5-amp), located in fuse block.
- Open or short in harness between fuse and ASCD main switch.
- Faulty ASCD main switch ground circuit.
- Check ASCD Main Switch
- Check ASCD main switch. See SWITCHES
under COMPONENT TESTS. Replace ASCD main switch if necessary. If ASCD main switch tests okay, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE 3
.
