Repair Procedures: Replacement

NOTE:
- Make sure that the connectors and wiring are not damaged when separating them.
- Mark the wiring connectors and hoses to prevent wrong connection.
WARNING:
- When working on the high voltage system, make sure that you are familiar and comply with the "Safety Precautions, Cautions and Warnings, See GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION AND CAUTION ." If you do not comply with the instructions, serious accidents due to electric shock or leakage may occur.
- When working on the high voltage system, make sure to cut off the high voltage first according to the "HIGH VOLTAGE SHUT-OFF PROCEDURES ." If you do not comply with the instructions, serious accidents due to electric shock or leakage may occur.
- Remove the 12 V auxiliary battery and tray.
(Refer to Vehicle Control System - "AUXILIARY 12V BATTERY ")
- Remove the console tray (A).
- Remove the lower cover (A).
- Separate the connectors and wiring (A).
- Remove the garnish (A).
- Unfasten the screws and remove the electronic gear shift button.
- Loosen the screw (A, B, C)
- Disconnect the gear shift button module by widening (D, E) with a flat head (-) driver or remover.CAUTION:
- When disconnecting the gear shift button module, do not apply excessive force on it not to be deformed.
- After disconnecting the screw (F, G) disconnect the palm rest assembly.
