Monitor DTC Status

Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
Ignition "OFF"
Monitor the "PUSH SWITCH" parameter on the scantool.
Specification: The duration of Push Switch "ON" signal 60sec.

Is the monitored parameter within specifications?
The ECM sets DTC 'PUSH KNOB SWITCH ERROR' if the signal of Knob push switch lasts for 60 sec. when starting KNOB is in "Lock" position.

YES
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECM's connector or was repaired and ECM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Go to "Inspection/Repair" procedure.
