Front Passenger's Power Window Switch Input Test
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2015 Honda Crosstour, 2014 Honda Crosstour, 2013 Honda Crosstour, 2012 Honda Crosstour, and 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Before testing, troubleshoot the multiplex integrated control unit first, using B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A
).
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
- Open and close the driver's door, then remove the front passenger's power window switch (see POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH REPLACEMENT ).
- Disconnect the 37P connector (A) from the front passenger's power window switch (B).
- Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.
- If the terminals are bent, loose, or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
- If the terminals look OK, go to next step.
- With the connector still disconnected, do the following input tests:
- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, go to next step.CONNECTOR INPUT TESTS REFERENCE

PNKIgnition switch ON (II), connect terminals No. 4 and No. 13 (or No. 12), and terminals No. 12 (or No. 13) and No. 3 with jumper wires. Check the right power mirror operation:
The right power mirror should UP (or DOWN).- Faulty right power mirror actuator
- Poor ground(G405)
- An open or high resistance in the ground wire

REDIgnition switch ON (II), connect terminals No. 4 and No. 12 (or No. 11), and terminals No. 11 (or No. 12) and No. 3 with jumper wires. Check the right power mirror operation:
The right power mirror should LEFT (or RIGHT).- Faulty right power mirror actuator
- Poor ground (G405)
- An open or high resistance in the ground wire
15 ORN Connect terminals No. 4 and No. 15 with a jumper wire Check the right power mirror defogger operation:
The right power mirror defogger should work (the inside lower edge becomes warm).- Faulty right power mirror defogger
- Poor ground (G405)
- An open or high resistance in the ground wire
34 BLU Under all conditions, disconnect the power window master switch 37P connector Check for continuity between terminal No. 34 and power window master switch 37P connector terminal No. 36:
There should be continuity. An open in the UART wire
- Reconnect the connector to the front passenger's power window switch, and do the following input test:
- If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
- If all the input tests prove OK, the control unit is faulty; replace the front passenger's power window switch (see FRONT PASSENGER'S POWER WINDOW SWITCH REPLACEMENT
).NOTE:
- After replacing the front passenger's power window switch, reset the power window control unit (see RESETTING THE POWER WINDOW CONTROL UNIT ).
- When testing for defogger function, holding a cup of hot water near the mirror glass will form steam that can assist in diagnosing a broken or under-performing defogger.
