Gear Position Switch

  1. Set parking brake. Remove gear position switch. Set gear position switch in Neutral position. Gear position switch only clicks in Neutral position.
  2. Set transaxle control shaft to "N" (Neutral) position, then install gear position switch on control shaft. Tighten mounting bolts and install wiring harness connector. Ensure gear position switch synchronizes with gear position indicator. In Park or Neutral, continuity should exist between gear position switch terminals No. 1 and 3. See Fig 1 .
