Water Pump Replacement
- Loosen the idler pulley center nut. Turn the adjusting bolt clockwise (counterclockwise for models without A/C compressor), then remove the water pump-A/C compressor belt or water pump belt.
- Remove the water pump (A) by removing three bolts.

- Inspect, repair, and clean the O-ring groove and the mating surface on the thermostat housing.
- Install the water pump, with a new O-ring (B), in the reverse order of removal.
- Clean up any spilled engine coolant.
