Cruise Control Systems: Description
The cruise control system uses mechanical and electrical operated devices to maintain vehicle speed settings greater than 25 MPH. The cruise control unit receives command signals from cruise control main switch and cruise control SET/RESUME switch. Cruise control unit compares actual vehicle speed from Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) to vehicle speed setting. It also can receive a disengage signal from either brakelight switch, clutch switch (M/T) or gear position switch (A/T). This disengage signal will release throttle control, until cruise control operation is resumed.
