Passenger-Side Inflator Module: Removal

  1. Before proceeding, read air bag service precautions section. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONS  . Disable the SRS system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM  .
  2. Passenger inflator module is located on right side of instrument panel. Remove 4 screws and 4 bolts retaining glove box to instrument panel. Remove 4 passenger inflator module-to-instrument panel bolts. Remove connector position assurance (CPA) clip and disconnect electrical connector. Remove inflator module from instrument panel. See Fig 1 .
