Piston Selection

For information on Ford Color Coded Illustrations refer to OEM COLOR CODING

Check 

  1. Refer to specifications for piston selection. Refer to: Specifications 2.7L EcoBoost (238kW/324PS) . Refer to: Specifications 3.3L Duratec-V6 . Refer to: Specifications 3.5L V6 PowerBoost (CN) . Refer to: Specifications 3.5L V6 PowerBoost (CN) . Refer to: Specifications 5.0L 32V Ti-VCT .
  2. NOTE: The cylinder bore must be within the specifications for taper and out-of-round before fitting a piston.

    • Measure the cylinder bore in 2 directions.

    • Select a piston size based on the cylinder bore.
