Steering Angle Sensor Module (SASM): Removal

  1. Remove the clockspring. Refer to: CLOCKSPRING .
    1. Remove the retainers.
    2. Release the tabs and the LH steering column multifunction switch.

    1. Remove the retainers.
    2. Release the tabs and the RH steering column multifunction switch.

  2. Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the SASM upper screws.

    Torque: 25 lb.in (2.8 Nm)

  3. Remove the lower screws, detach the wiring harness pin-type retainer and remove the SASM.

    Torque: 12 lb.in (1.4 Nm)
