  With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

• 2.
  
  If equipped, remove the underbody shield.

  Remove the PTU fill plug.

  NOTE: The fill capacity of the PTU is 23 fl oz (700 ml).

  Fill the PTU with clean fluid, level with the fill plug opening.

  Material: Motorcraft® SAE 75W-140 Synthetic Rear Axle Lubricant (U.S.) / XY-75W140-QL (U.S.) (WSL-M2C192-A)

  Install the PTU fill plug.

  Torque: 33 lb.ft (45 Nm)
