Engine and Radiator Flushing
ENGINE AND RADIATOR FLUSHING MATERIAL SPECIFICATION

- Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
- Remove the thermostat. For additional information, refer to THERMOSTAT or THERMOSTAT HOUSING .
- Install the coolant hose connection without the thermostat.
- Using an appropriate cooling system flusher, flush the engine and radiator.
Use cooling system flush for vehicles filled with Motorcraft Premium Gold Engine Coolant (yellow color).
- Install the thermostat. For additional information, refer to THERMOSTAT or THERMOSTAT HOUSING .
- Backflush the heater core if necessary. For additional information, refer to HEATER CORE BACKFLUSHING .
- Fill the cooling system. For additional information, refer to COOLING SYSTEM DRAINING, FILLING AND BLEEDING .
