Erase All Key Codes & Program 2 Keys

NOTE: Procedure requires 2 PATS keys (unprogrammed or programmed) referred to as first key and second key.
  1. Use service card version 1.0 or higher in New Generation STAR (NGS) tester. Connect NGS tester to Data Link Connector (DLC). Enter SERVICE BAY FUNCTIONS and select PATS. Enter SECURITY ACCESS. This procedure will take 10 minutes to perform.
  2. When security access is granted, select IGNITION KEY CODE ERASE. Turn ignition to LOCK position. Disconnect NGS tester from DLC.
  3. Insert first key into ignition switch and cycle ignition switch from LOCK to RUN position. After 3 seconds, turn ignition switch to LOCK position and remove first key. Insert second key into ignition switch and cycle ignition switch from LOCK to RUN position. After 3 seconds, turn ignition switch to LOCK position and remove second key.
