Symptom Checks

Perform the following:

• With engine at normal operating temperature, check EOT PID reading. See ADDITIONAL SYSTEM FUNCTIONS in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - DIESEL article. If EOT PID reading is less than 100°F (38°C), replace EOT sensor.
• Check for floor mat interference.
• Check for defective accelerator pedal bushing.
• Check for coolant in oil.
• Check for overfilled crankcase.
• Check crankcase for fuel contamination.
