Rear Axle Fluid Change

Rear axle lubricant must be changed every 100,000 miles for normal service conditions. The rear axle lubricant must be changed every 3,000 miles for non-synthetic fluid or 100,000 miles for synthetic fluid under severe service conditions. Change fluid immediately if the axle has been submerged in water. Otherwise, check level only if a leak is suspected or a repair is required.
