Pinpoint Test B - Actuator Circuit Shorted

  1. DTC 28; Check Circuit Resistance

    Turn ignition off. Disconnect EVO control module 14-pin connector. Disconnect EVO actuator harness connector. Measure resistance between pin No. 13 (Yellow/Green wire) and pin No. 14 (Light Blue wire) of control module connector. If resistance is less than 100,000 ohms, repair short circuit between Yellow/Green wire and Light Blue wire. If resistance is 100,000 ohms or more, go to next step.

  2. Check Actuator Resistance

    Leave ignition off. Measure resistance between EVO actuator terminals. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace EVO actuator. If resistance is 5 ohms or more, replace control module.
