Inspection & Verification
- Verify the vehicle owner's original concern.
- Inspect system fuses. Check electrical connections for obvious damage opens or shorts.
- Inspect terminal No. 7 on the data link connector (DLC) for loose, bent, deformed, corroded or broken pins. See Figure . If pin is damaged, repair or replace pin, verify communication with New Generation Star (NGS) scan tool.
- If the concern(s) remains after the inspection, determine the symptom(s) and repair as necessary.
