On Demand Self Test

After connecting the New Generation STAR (NGS) Tester to the vehicle and performing initialization perform following steps in order.

1. Select data link, press trigger.
2. Select module to be tested, press trigger.
3. Select diagnostic test modes.
4. Select On-Demand Self-Test, press trigger.
5. Press START (button 3).
6. Prepare vehicle for entry condition as specified for each module, press trigger.

Record ALL DTCs, then refer to appropriate section to continue diagnosis for each DTC. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS  . If DTC U1073 of DTC U1341 is recorded, there is problem communicating with the PCM.
