Washers Do Not Operate
- Check fluid level in reservoir. Fill if necessary. Activate washer switch. If motor is inoperative go to step 2). If motor operates but will not squirt fluid, visually inspect washer nozzles for blockage and hose for kinks. Disconnect hose at reservoir and check for blockage at washer pump outlet.
- Using a voltmeter or test lamp, check for voltage at washer pump by activating washer switch. If voltage is present go to next step. If voltage is not present go to step 4).
- With an ohmmeter, check ground at washer pump. If ground is not present, service ground. If ground is good, replace pump.
- Using a voltmeter or test lamp, check for power at wiper switch by operating wipers. If wipers operate, go to step 6). If wipers do not operate, go to next step.
- Using a voltmeter or test lamp, check for power out of washer switch or wash circuit. If no voltage is present go to step 8). If voltage is present, go to step 7).
- Activate heater blower. If blower does not operate, service open circuit in power feed wiring. If blower operates, go to next step.
- Check wiper/wash circuit breaker. If circuit breaker is blown, replace circuit breaker. If circuit breaker is okay, go to next step.
- Check for power to switch. If no power is available, check for electrical system fault before replacing wipe/wash switch. If power is available, service wipe/wash wiring and connectors.
