Control Valve Housing: Reassembly

  1. Coat new tube seats with petroleum jelly. Install them in housing using Tube Seat Installer (T74P-3504-M). Coat bearing and seal surface of housing with petroleum jelly. Install bearing with metal side covering rollers facing outward. Press bearing into housing using Installer (T65P-3524-A1). Bearing should rotate freely after installation.
  2. Dip new oil seal in gear lubricant (SAE-80W). Place seal in housing with metal side out. Drive seal into housing until outer edge does not quite clear snap ring groove.
  3. Install snap ring in housing and press into place using Installer (T65P-3524-A1). Place dust seal in housing with dished rubber side out. Using Installer (T65P-3524-A1), press into place until seal is located behind undercut in input shaft. Apply generous amount of Lubriplate to area between 2 seal lips.
