Test Procedure
Use the following procedure to receive code output and activate SELF-TEST. If system will not activate, go to CIRCUIT TEST, step 18):
- Start engine and bring to operating temperature.
- Ensure carburetor is off high idle cam.
- Activate SELF-TEST by latching center button on STAR tester or connecting jumper between STI and SIG RTN on analog Volt/Ohmmeter.
- Observe and record all codes.
- Begin diagnostics with first code outputted.
