Test X - Invalid Codes During Continuous Test

  1. Check if any EEC components are routed too close to high electrical energy components. If so, reroute them.
  2. Turn ignition on. Perform Key On - Engine Off Test until first code is output, then deactivate Test. This will erase continuous codes. Turn ignition off. Perform Key On - Engine Off Test and record any codes. Valid codes are 11, 22, 31, 51, 54, 61, 63 and 64. If any codes are invalid, go to step 3). If all codes are valid, go back to Continuous Test portion of Quick Test.
  3. Turn ignition off. Deactivate test. Disconnect ECT sensor. Turn ignition on and wait 15 seconds. Turn ignition off. Connect ECT sensor. Activate test. Turn ignition on and record codes. If code 51 is present, Keep Alive Memory is functional. Repeat Quick Test. If no code 51, go to next step.
  4. Check power circuit to Keep Alive Memory for voltage. Turn ignition off. Disconnect processor and inspect 60 pin connectors. Connect breakout box to harness, with processor connected. Connect voltmeter positive lead to breakout box pin 1 and negative lead to pin 46. Turn ignition on. If less than 10 volts, repair open to power circuit and repeat Quick Test. If more than 10 volts, replace processor and repeat Quick Test.
