Serial Number

Stamped on upper flange of left front fender apron (Falcon, Mustang), on vertical face of left front apron (Fairlane), top right dash panel in engine compartment (Galaxie, Custom). Also stamped under "Vehicle Warranty Number" on car patent plate on lock face of left front door. Number carries identification data as follows:

(3) 2 pints for "HED" model, 3.5 pints for "HEF" model. Model identification is stamped on tag on right side of front of transmission case.
(4) Model identification is stamped on tag attached by low-reverse servo cover bolt.
(5) Ford passenger cars 25 gallons. Mustang and Falcon passenger cars 16 gallons. All others 20 gallons.
