Description & Operation: Notes

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Mitsubishi Mirage and 1995 Eagle Summit. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING: To avoid injury from accidental air bag deployment, read and carefully follow all WARNINGS and SERVICE PRECAUTIONS.

Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) consists of an SRS Diagnostic Unit (SDU), air bag module, clockspring, and an SRS warning light. See Fig 1 . SDU contains a safing impact sensor and analog "G" sensor. Air bags deploys in a frontal (or near frontal) impact if ignition is on, and safing impact sensor and analog "G" sensor activate simultaneously.
