All Speakers Non-Operative
- Turn radio on. Check radio display lights.
- If radio display lights illuminate, go to next step. If radio display lights do not illuminate, check radio. See RADIO under TROUBLESHOOTING.
- Check fuses, amplifier connectors and wires for proper connection.
- Check for battery voltage at amplifier harness connector terminals No. 9 and 28.
- Check for continuity to ground at amplifier harness connector terminal No. 29.
- If voltage and ground circuits are okay, replace amplifier. See AMPLIFIER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- If amplifier harness connector terminal No. 28 has battery voltage and terminal No. 9 has zero voltage, test voltage at antenna connector. See Figure . Repair wiring as necessary.
- If amplifier harness connector terminal No. 9 has battery voltage and terminal No. 28 has zero voltage, check for short to ground.
- If shorted to ground, repair wire.
- If not shorted to ground, check fuse No. 8. Replace as necessary and recheck. Check cigar lighter and horn prior to replacing amplifier.
- If fuse blows again, replace amplifier. See AMPLIFIER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
