Description & Operation
Manual rack and pinion assembly converts rotational movement of pinion to transverse movement of rack. Rack and pinion assembly, factory lubricated and sealed, connects to steering knuckles at tie rod ends. See Figure .
NOTE:
On Laser and Talon, service includes overhaul of rack and pinion assembly. On Shadow and Sundance, service is limited to replacement.
