Dimmer Control Module
- Remove top steering column cover to access turn signal multi-function switch. Speed control dimmer module is located on right back side of turn signal multi-function switch. Check all switch wire connectors for clean and tight connections.
- Remove screw attaching dimmer module to switch and remove module. Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between dimmer module pins No. 1 and No. 3 and between pins No. 3 and No. 4. See Fig 1. Continuity should exist in both tests. If continuity does not exist in either or both tests, replace dimmer module. If continuity exists in both tests, inspect circuit No. V32 (Yellow/Red wire) from PCM terminal No. 5 to brake switch terminal No. 3 to dimmer module pin No. 4. See WIRING DIAGRAM. Repair Yellow/Red wire as necessary.
