Control Unit, Def Heater: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  3. Remove the nut (2) and the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Heater Control Unit (HCU) (1) from bracket.

  4. Disconnect the DEF HCU wire harness connector (1) and remove the DEF HCU (2).
