Transmission Range Sensor
Transmission Range (TR) sensor provides gear position information to TCM. TR sensor is located on valve body. Wire harness connector exits transaxle case near solenoid assembly. See Fig 1 . Also located within TR sensor is a separate thermistor type temperature sensor for measuring temperature of transmission fluid. This helps TCM to accurately control shifting schedule.
