Removal & Installation
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove left underdash cover and knee bolster reinforcement. Disconnect wire connectors from bottom of Body Control Module (BCM). See Fig 1 .
- Remove bolts holding junction block to dash panel mounting bracket. Remove junction block from mounting bracket. Remove screws holding BCM to junction block. Slide BCM downward to disengage guide studs. Remove BCM from junction block. To install, reverse removal procedure. Go to next step.
- When BCM is replaced, Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS) must be enabled. Open hood. Insert key into liftgate power door lock switch and turn key to UNLOCK position, sending the BCM a disarm signal. At this time, headlights will flash, but horn will not sound. Cycle ignition key from OFF to ON position 4 times, to enable VTSS.
