Speed Control Relay
- Disconnect and remove speed control relay. Relay is attached to speed control servo assembly located at right rear of engine compartment. See Fig 1. Using a DVOM, check for continuity between relay terminals No. 1 and 2 and terminals No. 3 and 4. Continuity should exist. If continuity does not exist in both tests, replace speed control relay.
- If continuity exists in both tests, apply battery voltage to relay terminal No. 1. Apply ground to relay terminal No. 2 using jumper wires. See Fig 1. Using a DVOM, check for continuity between relay terminals No. 3 and 4. Continuity should not exist. If continuity exists, replace speed control relay.
