Installation Procedure

  1. Install the instrument panel assembly on the vehicle.
  2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. Install the instrument panel screw (1) behind the I/P of the driver side and tighten to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  5. Install the instrument panel screws (3) and tighten to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
  6. Install the instrument panel bolts (2) and tighten to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
  7. Install the instrument panel defroster grille (1).
  8. Install both front speakers. Refer to Radio Front Speaker Replacement .

  10. Connect the passenger airbag module electrical connector.
  11. Install the instrument panel bolts (1) and tighten to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
  12. Install the passenger airbag module bracket bolts (2) and tighten to 11.5 N.m (8 lb ft).

  14. Install the steering column and tighten the nuts (1) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
  15. Install the steering column opening filler. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement .
  16. Install the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement .
  17. Install both instrument panel outer trim covers. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement .
  18. Install the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
  19. Install the steering column lower trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement .
  20. Install the heater and air conditioning control. Refer to Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement (Left Hand Drive) , Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement (Right Hand Drive) .
  21. Install the radio assembly. Refer to Radio Replacement .
  22. Install the floor console assembly. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement .
  23. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
