Installation Procedure

  1. Position the upper control arm (1) in the frame and on the knuckle.

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the upper control arm bolt (1) and the nut (2) and tighten to 80 N.m (59 lb ft) plus 120 degrees.

  5. Install the upper control arm bolt (2) and the nut (1) and tighten to 60 N.m (44 lb ft) plus 90 degrees.

  7. Install the upper control arm bushing bolt (1) and tighten to 50 N.m (37 lb ft) plus 120 degrees.
  8. Install the rear brake hose on the upper control arm. Refer to Rear Brake Hose Replacement (LLT) or Rear Brake Hose Replacement (LS3, L99) .
  9. Remove the support from the knuckle.
  10. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
  11. Lower the vehicle.
  12. Check and adjust the rear wheel alignment, if needed. Refer to Rear Camber Adjustment .
